Ariel is very knowledgeable as a trainer. She is professional in every meaning of the word. She recognized my weak areas that needed to be focused on then targeted those areas. She is client friendly. I love her as a professional and my personal trainer.  I think that at the end of my training sessions, I may renew and continue training with her. 

I have benefitted from working with her for the past few weeks. My energy levels have increased along with my strength.

After a visit to the cardiologist, I learned I had what is called a low heart function. It was suggested that I have a device (kind of like a pacemaker) put in to control my heartbeat. I have always been suspicious of devices, so I did some research. I discovered that one thing you can do to help the condition is exercise.

About the same time my health insurance sent information about the Silver Sneakers Program. They listed Fitness 1440 as a provider of the program. So, I signed up with Fitness:1440. I also began to work with a trainer. Now after about 6 years my heart function is around normal (I was told it never would be).

I am really feeling good. A lot of credit goes to Leigh Anne Mcbride, Silver Sneakers instructor, and Brolin Warren, my Trainer. They keep me in shape, with no pressure, and are always friendly and caring.

Fitness 1440 has a helpful, caring staff and atmosphere that contributes to some social activity as well. The gym is a great place to exercise and meet wonderful people. It helps me enjoy life!

I joined Fitness 1440 January 2021 and thus my weight loss journey began and my new healthy lifestyle. At the time I weighed 270 pounds on a 5’3 frame. Not a pretty sight.Knowing that I needed to do this not only for my appearance and well being , it was important to me to be healthy for my family. I wanted to be healthy for them also and maintain a healthy lifestyle.

I was assigned Rick Salter as my personal trainer. Couldn’t have had a better one. Rick motivated me to exercise and complete steps at home. At first, being so big I could hardly get on some of the machines without help but slowly it got easier. I was only completing around 3000 steps a daily. Rick encouraged me to move up to 10,000 steps daily then the weight started coming off. Slowly I increased steps with Ricks motivation and now doing 18,000 steps daily.

I do 2 miles a day on treadmill 4 times a week. Cardio very important. I found out. Group classes helpful also strength training.
I also participate in Medical Weight loss .
Get injections weekly but like Kim says “ Not magic” You have to eat a balanced diet to achieve success-protein low carbs fruits veggies and water water water !

I have so much more energy now and would recommend this to anyone who anyone looking for a lifestyle change. From 270 to 155 I feel great . Shout out to Rick Salter, Kim Warren and staff at Fitness 1440 Hueytown, AL - You Rock!

I started coming to Fitness 1440 about 10 years ago. This is when my son, Ethan, started playing football. I started working out to help him get ready for football and for myself to try and get in better shape. My wife joined as well, and we fell in love with this gym right away.

It is always clean and organized. The members of the gym, as well as the staff, are always friendly and helpful. We have all levels… from beginners (like we were) to professional body builders and everything in between.

I started training roughly about a year ago. This was around the time of the before picture. I was stronger, but my stamina wasn’t so
good. My first trainer was DJ (a body builder), then Nick (an ab workout fanatic) then Shaden (she got my stamina back and started me
eating a better diet) and finally Dylan (his style is like Shaden’s). I didn’t think I would have another trainer like her.

In the before photo, I was 225 lbs. In the after photo, I am 200 lbs. All my trainers taught me so much. I’ve always tried to workout
hard, so I thought at first, diet didn’t matter. A simple challenge to leave off fast food for two weeks changed my body quickly; I lost 5 pounds, and then within a few more weeks, I
lost another 5 pounds, until I got down to my current weight of 200 lbs.

Dylan has solid training plans to complement a better diet. They utilize shorter rest time with more reps and lighter weights. The last
few sets are brutal but pay off. With my weight loss, I did lose a little strength but I’m starting to get it back. My stamina is so much
better. The pictures tell the story, but on top of being in overall better physical health, my A1C this past month was at 6.2. This is the lowest it’s been since finding out that I was diabetic (9 years ago).

At 51 years of age, I’m in better shape now than I was in my 20’s.

Kim is an amazing trainer. She customizes my workouts for what is best for me and even makes adjustments on the fly when needed.

She is extremely observant and patient, which helps me get the most out of my workout. Since training with Kim, I’ve become so much stronger, more energized, healthier, and no longer on medications.

 I can’t say enough good things about Kim.

My fitness journey with Fitness 1440 started in February 2023 when I walked in to sign up to be a member only. I had a conversation with Mr. Eddie in his office and he asked me what I was looking for with my membership. I said to lose some inches and pounds and to train correctly on the equipment. He suggested a personal trainer and asked how much effort I was willing to give, I said 110%. He introduce me to Brolin. I read his weight Loss joursey, could not believe the transformation. I said yeah, I want this dude.

Brolin and I got to work the next week and have been going strong for the last few months. I will be 60 in May and it is time to shed these last 10 pounds. Brolin keeps me focused on my training, my diet, my schedule. I have a new excitement for coming to the gym and staying on track with my results. I am so excited, that I went from working out 3 days a week to 5. I come early in the morning.

Brolin gave me a schedule of the the classes offered free with my membership and advised me to try same of them. I love dancercise with Brandy, her class is uplifting and fun! I also love the yoga and silver sneakers with LecAnn. 1440 is the way to go. A team of professionals on staff waiting for you. Also, don't forget abour the smoothie bar, they are delicious!

Last September I was having a difficult time getting out of my recliner. I asked God to help me. He told me to get to the gym and quit being dormant or lazy. The next day I came to 1440 and asked if they could help me. They informed me that I would get out what I put in. So they said it was up to me.

They assigned me to Kim Warren a personal trainer. I thought to myself a lady trainer? It turned out that she was a lady but she knows what she is doing. It wasn't long that she had me moving and doing things I haven't done in years. She works the whole body; I was sore in a different place every day. She has literally transformed me.

When I started working with her, I weighed 232 lbs. and wore a size 40 pants. It wasn't long I started feeling better and looked forward to going to the gym. At the present time I weigh 205 lbs. and wear a size 38 pants. I highly recommend Kim as your trainer.

It has been a great journey. Everyone at the gym is friendly and supportive and helps wherever they can. Not only the staff but everyone you encounter. I highly recommend 1440 as a place to make your life a place to start living a better life.

Personal training gives you the motivation to keep training - to keep going. I have been training with Kim since January 2022.

Kim is a DREAM to work with. Kim took the time to understand my capabilities. She continues to work hard to raise my limits to keep challenging me! She is the most knowledgeable trainer that I have had the pleasure to work with. I cannot say enough great things about her.

I am so pleased with my training with Kim and with the results I am achieving. I thoroughly enjoy working out with Kim and would recommend her as a trainer to anyone looking to improve their fitness.
